Tots Danced the Night Away on Drewes Beach

Singer Big Jeff provided little kids with lots of fun at Lake Parsippany's annual outdoor event

Friday night was all smiles and sippy cups as children’s musician Big Jeff performed at Lake Parsippany’s Drewes Beach.

Families sprawled out on the sand on blankets or sat in beach chairs. Older kids moved between picnicking with their families to dancing center stage, while many babies bounced and clapped to the music with their parents.

Big Jeff performed “The Orange Song,” his signature melody, much to the delight of many of his young fans. His songs were upbeat and he engaged the audience throughout–asking the kids questions and encouraging them to move their hands to the beat. He held their attention visually by donning playful hats that matched the songs’ themes.

This outdoor musical event was open to the public. For those who missed out on the festivities, next week provides another opportunity: Thursday, the Township of Parsippany hosts a free concert performed by Beatles tribute band the Mahoney Brothers at Veteran’s Memorial Field beginning at 7:30 p.m.
