WEATHER ALERT * LINE OF STORMS CAPABLE OF DAMAGING WINDS / HAIL LATER THIS AFTERNOON * THREAT TIME: TUESDAY 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Heat and humidity will be favorable for the development of severe storms this afternoon. The main window for storms will be 5 - 8 PM (though an isolated storm can be around a bit earlier or later), and the primary hazard will be damaging winds of 55 - 70+ mph. Isolated occurrences of quarter-sized hail are possible with an instance or two of slightly larger hail not ruled out either. Brief poor drainage flooding is possible, but the most impactful hazard from these storms will be the damaging winds which can lead to numerous downed trees / powerlines where these storms hit.
