Wanted: Parsippany-area girls in grades 3-5 this Fall

Girls on the Run is so much fun - here are a local mom's 5 top reasons why!

1. Girls on the Run is run by volunteers who are enthusiastic, upbeat....and fun!

2. The girls on the team are encouraged to mingle - no cliques allowed!

3. The girls don't compete against their teammates - ever! Running is part of a process where each girl begins wherever she is, and sets her own goals each week to improve. Some girls are on track teams, while others have never run before.

4. Running is only part of the fun sandwich - each group meetup begins with fun exercises and a quick lesson related to confidence/motivation/kindness/health depending on the week. The girls run, then afterwards wrap up with group cheers.

5. Each season winds up with a 5K, and it's amazing to see your 3rd-5th grader accomplish something that many adults haven't. The girls run or walk at their own pace.

Girls on the Run, is so much fun (a saying you'll soon hear regularly, if your daughter signs up)! It is a well-constructed program that builds confidence and provides a healthy outlet for girls in grades 3-5.

The Parsippany Team meets at Veteran's Field on Route 46 twice per week.

Online registration opens August 1 at 9am for fall 2018. You can find out more and register here.
