They include Woodmont Properties, which has built housing units near train stations, to the New Brunswick Development Corp., which helped rebuild Rutgers University's hub city in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

"Industry leaders agree that 2017 is a year for the books. New investments and huge, complex deals are making a significant impact on communities throughout the state--and in some ways, transforming the way we live, work and travel in New Jersey. Despite the state’s land constraints, insiders have dubbed this the 'year of industrial,' as developers and builders have pushed the limits in the field," according to NJBIZ.

The NJBIZ Real Estate Power 50 was compiled after interviews with dozens of industry leaders who were asked to nominate colleagues and competitors who have established reputations as leaders and power brokers with deep knowledge of the market, the ability to reach across all segments of the industry and persuade others to raise communities together, according to the publication.
