Acclaimed Pianist Pianist Behzod Abduraimov, 23, to Perform at Princeton

Pianist Behzod Abduraimov, 23, is a native of Uzbekistan who critics have described as "Rip-roaringly exciting" and "a gift from God." He won the 2009 London International Piano Competition, and then toured with the Sydney Symphony under Vladimir Ashkenazy. Tonight he will perform Beethoven's Sonata No. 12 in A-flat Major, Op. 26 and Sonata No. 23 in F Major, Op. 57, "Appassionata," Chopin's Fantasia in F Minor, Op. 49, Liszt's Benediction de Dieu dans la solitude, S. 173/3 and Saint-Saens/Liszt/Horowitz Danse Macabre Op.40. Princeton University, Alexander Hall, Richardson Auditorium, 8 p.m. Pre-concert talk by Ruth Ochs begins at 7 p.m.
