Students of the YWCA Princeton’s Bilingual Nursery School watch with YWCA teacher Marguerite Ryan as the old Merwick Care & Rehabilitation Center on Route 206 was torn down on Dec. 13.
Students were impressed with the sounds of concrete, bricks and steel falling four stories down and by how much material is used in a building.
One student, referring to the demolition equipment, exclaimed, “Look! It’s eating just like a hungry dinosaur!”
