The Princeton Parks & Recreation Fund announced on Oct. 12 the receipt of a financial gift from the children of Alice and Bernie Gerb. The finds will be used for the new CP Pool Complex, which will be named in their honor.
The Gerbs lived in Princeton for more than 40 years until their respective deaths in 2006 and 2007. They had taken great pride in the fact that Community Park Pool was open and truly available to everyone, regardless of age, social standing, race or anything else. It is the wish of the Gerb children that this gift be used to keep pool entry fees low by helping to offset the construction costs of this project.
Naming rights opportunities for the pools within the complex begin at $100,000 per pool and are still available.
