Veterans Day Observance Planned for Princeton University

A Veterans Day observance will be held in the Princeton University Chapel. Alan W. Lukens, former U.S. ambassador to the Congo, will present a speech. Lukens '46 served with the 20th Armored Division in Germany during World War II and was with the division when it liberated Dachau.

The program also will include an invocation by the University Rev. Dr. Alison Boden, the presentation of the colors by the Princeton University Army ROTC “Tiger” Battalion cadets; and a performance of the “Star-Spangled Banner” and “America the Beautiful” by Kenneth Grayson, foreman in the University electric shop. Two members of the University Orchestra will also perform.
