Gourmet Greek Grab-and-Go Eatery Opens In Princeton

Small Bites, a new authentic Greek grab and go restaurant in Princeton, offers quick meals to be taken on the go.

PRINCETON, NJ — A new authentic Greek grab-and-go restaurant, Small Bites, officially opened in Princeton on Saturday. This is the second business opened and owned by Tony Kanterakis, who also owns Local Greek in town.

A ribbon cutting was held at Small Bites at 20 Nassau St. with Princeton Mayor Liz Lempert, restaurant owners, and members of the local town council.

"It was a really nice turnout," stated Kanterakis. "From people walking by, to family, friends, council people, and our reoccurring customers — we got a ton of support."

The Greek donut is a sweet and dense bread smothered in sesame seeds. Other offerings include the Greek-style sandwich with eggs and Greek sausage or a prepackaged Pastitsio (Greek lasagna).

The homemade style pastries and desserts are made fresh daily in the restaurant’s bakery. Small Bites also carries imported goods including Greek chocolates, tea, and snacks.

"We're going for a modern twist on Local Greek," said Kanterakis. "Local Greek is more traditional, sit-down. Small Bites is quick, casual, has a modern feel, and just really quality food for a good price."

The restaurant is currently hiring line cooks, waitstaff and bakery counter attendants. Those interested in employment can apply at Smallbitesbylocalgreek.com/employment.
