Hunters To Thin Deer Population In Princeton Early Next Year
Council has approved a $64,530 no-bid contract to White Buffalo to thin the deer population in the town, the Princeton Packet reports.

Princeton, NJ -- Princeton Council has approved a $64,530 no-bid contract to Connecticut-based White Buffalo to thin the deer population in the town, the Princeton Packet reports.
The thinning will take place between early February and the middle of March, with the goal of reducing the population to 20 deer per square mile, according to the report.
Hunting will take place every day but Sunday, and deer meat will be donated to local food banks, according to the report.

Hunters will be permitted to use rifles and the net and bolt technique. Volunteer recreational bow hunters will be permitted to hunt on publicly owned lands now through Feb. 18, according to the report.
