Last Princeton Food Tour Of 2018 Scheduled For Dec. 1

"A Farmer's Food Tour" allows guests to sample delicious food and drink along the way, meet chefs, owners, and specialty shop keepers.

PRINCETON, NJ — Jersey Girls has announced its last Princeton Food Tour of 2018 for Dec. 1. The name of the tour is called "A Farmer's Food Tour."

This tour places a strong focus on ingredients brought to tables by surrounding Princeton farms, as well as other sustainable sourcing practices.

Meet select farmers who work so hard to bring quality ingredients year-round to Princeton eateries. And of course, sample delicious food and drink along the way, meeting chefs, owners, and specialty shop keepers who make it all happen.

On the tour a farmer will meet with guests at the last location and have a conversation about what it means to be a farmer in 2018. They share what it is they grow on their farm, and they typically cover topics like what it means to be organic, and why it's so important to support local agriculture.

Featured restaurants may include Blue Point Grill, Agricola, Lan Ramen, Jammin Crepes, Olssons Fine Foods, Bent Spoon, Lillipies, and partnered with farms such as Abe's Acres Farms, and Cherry Valley Cooperative. Wine partnerships have included CoolVines and Public.

The tour will last about three hours and be from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1. Cost is $89 per adult ticket (21 years and older).

The ticket includes all food, one alcoholic beverage pairings at select restaurants, exclusive access to restaurants and narrated tour.

The tour runs rain or shine and covers a distance of less than half a mile, walking together as a group to each restaurant. Easy walking.
