Latest Update On Mercer County COVID Vaccine Sites

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Vaccination efforts in New Jersey continue despite the state's decision to pause the administration of the Johnson & Johnson dose.

The state also expanded COVID-19 vaccine eligibility, earlier this week. All New Jersey residents aged 16 and above will now be eligible for the vaccine.

The Princeton Health Department is hosting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic for 16- and 17-year-olds, beginning April 27. PHD has partnered with Hamilton Township, West Windsor Township, and Olden Pharmacy for this clinic.

Meanwhile, the Mercer County sites have appointments for residents regularly.

As of Friday, a total of 254,600 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Mercer County, of which 161,632 are first doses. A total of 106, 886 residents have now been fully vaccinated.

• Join the New Jersey Covid Vaccine Info Facebook group. The 61,000-member group gives New Jerseyans the opportunity to share up-to-date information on vaccine availability.
• Follow VaxxUpdates on Twitter. The page helps Garden State residents secure vaccine appointments with instant updates on availability.

• CentraState Healthcare System in Freehold periodically opens registration. They will email a link when you're eligible for an appointment.
• Check out the COVID-19 Vaccine Registration FAQ from RWJBarnabas Health. You can sign up at their website to be alerted when the vaccine becomes available in your area.
• ShopRite sometimes has a wait time to access its vaccine scheduler, but it allows the public to make appointments.

Register at the state, local/county portals to ensure you have a better chance of getting the vaccine when it becomes available in your category.
