Man Sustains Head Injury After Accident Near Mercer County Park

A 69-year-old Hamilton man sustained serious head injuries after losing control of his electric bike near Mercer County Park.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A Hamilton man sustained serious head injuries after losing control of his electric bike, near Mercer County Park.

According to the West Windsor police, on Nov.8 at 11:20 a.m., the 69-year-old man was riding his electric bike on the pedestrian path between the East picnic area and the tennis court.

While going in the direction of the tennis center, he attempted to go around a runner who was in front of him. He lost control of the bike and struck his head on the ground resulting in a serious head injury, police said. The rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The runner remained at the scene and attended to the injured rider, said the police. No one else was injured during the incident. The man was transported to the Robert Wood Johnson hospital at Hamilton Medical Center by the Robbinsville EMS.
