PRINCETON, NJ — A Princeton restaurant has been named to New Jersey Monthly's annual list of 30 best new restaurants in New Jersey.
The Meeting House at 277 Witherspoon St. was opened by New York transplants and restaurant veterans Amanda Maher and Amar Gautam.
It is located next to the Avalon Bay apartments and replaces Two Sevens Eatery & Cantina on Witherspoon Street that closed in October 2018. The space has been fully renovated and also offers garage parking directly behind it at Henry Street and Albert Way.

"The reimagined space exudes a relaxed but upscale vibe. The menu offers a wide range of New American favorites: short ribs with cheesy polenta; smoky grilled cauliflower; sweet-pea guacamole; Wester Ross Scottish salmon over lentil stew; fried chicken with fresh flaky biscuits and honey; and a braised Berkshire pork shank. There’s also a well-rounded wine list," according to NJ Monthly.
The Meeting House serves up "well-executed" American cuisine and has a lively bar scene. The restaurant offers a "warm and welcoming attitude toward family dining."
