Mercer County Hosts Holiday Toy Drive for Toys for Tots

This year's drive will be dedicated to the memory of Mercer County Park Ranger Dave Deveney.

]Too many children go without, especially during the holiday season, and Mercer County officials invite residents, businesses and civic groups to join in their annual Holiday Toy Drive to benefit Toys for Tots.

“Too many children go without, especially during the holiday season. As we begin our annual Holiday Toy Drive, I urge you to give whatever you can toward this year’s effort,” County Executive Brian Hughes said. “Even the smallest or simplest item can bring a smile to a child’s face.”

This year’s drive will be dedicated to the memory of Mercer County Park Ranger Dave Deveney, who was known for his enthusiasm when it came to gathering gifts for kids who might have otherwise had none at Christmas. Ranger Deveney spent countless hours collecting as many toys as possible and was generous beyond measure.

Unwrapped toys and gifts may be dropped at the following locations from now until Dec. 18.
