Music, Murals & More At Princeton Community Pride Picnic

PRINCETON, NJ — The Princeton community gathered on the expansive YMCA field last Saturday, June 5, to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community with music, food, and art activities.

Neighborhood nonprofits too were at a family-friendly event. Attendees enjoyed music from DJ Linda Leigh and participated in making a collaborative community mural.

Mayor Mark Freda, officers from the Princeton Police Department and Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad were also present.

The picnic was a community collaboration between 18 non-profits, local groups and food vendors. The event was coordinated by the Princeton Public Library, Princeton Family YMCA, Arts Council of Princeton, HiTOPS, Princeton Civil Rights Commission, Corner House Behavioral Health and McCarter Theatre Center.
