'Appalling Act Of Hate:' Noose Found At Princeton University

PRINCETON, NJ — A noose was found earlier this week at Princeton University, officials said.

According to a University spokesperson, the noose was found at a construction site on campus.

“The University can confirm a noose was found by a contractor on a construction site on campus earlier this week. The University’s Department of Public Safety is working with the contractor to conduct a full investigation,” the spokesperson said.

It’s unclear where and when the noose was found. As of Thursday morning, the University said there were no further details on the incident.

“Princeton vehemently deplores this appalling act of hate – the University has zero-tolerance for racist and harmful actions such as this,” the spokesperson said.
