Obituary: Elizabeth Olga Petersen Scholer

Elizabeth Olga Petersen Scholer, 82, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015.

Born in New York City, to the late Alfred and Marguerite Petersen, she lived in Union, NJ, Meadville, PA, and resided in Point Pleasant since 1974.

Mrs. Scholer was a registered nurse and graduate of Orange Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, and of Boston University where she earned her B.S.N.

She enjoyed photography, gardening, and animals, especially petting everyone’s dog. Also she was a parishioner of Saint Mary’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Niels Erik Scholer, and her twin sister, Nancy Nicolaysen of Princeton.

Surviving are her daughter, Anne-Marie Scholer of Winchester, MA and her beloved cat, Cleo.
