Princeton To Hold Flag Day Ceremony June 14

The ceremony will take place on the plaza at the Princeton Municipal Building.

PRINCETON, NJ —The Annual Flag Day ceremony in Princeton is scheduled for June 14, 11:30 a.m. Mayor Mark Freda, council members, Princeton Fire Department, Princeton First Aid & Rescue, Municipal staff, and the Spirit of Princeton will be present at the event.

The ceremony will take place on the plaza at the Princeton Municipal Building, 400 Witherspoon Street. This year's Master of Ceremonies is Keith Wadsworth, the grandson of Ray Wadsworth founder of Spirit of Princeton, who died a few days before Flag Day in 2018.

There will be musical entertainment provided by the Garden Statesmen, a local acapella group, and bagpiper Chris King of the Princeton Police Department.

On June 16 at 12 p.m., Princeton will celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and Pride Month. The municipality will raise the Pride flag at Monument Hall, located at the intersection of Route 206 and Nassau Street.

Princeton Mayor Mark Freda and members of the Council will host a short program ahead of the ceremony.
