Princeton Ice Cream Shop Gets Best Of Jersey In National List

With its fun and ambitious flavors, The Bent Spoon has been rated the best in Garden State by Food & Wine magazine.

PRINCETON, NJ — Local ice cream store The Bent Spoon might have grabbed headlines for their cicada chocolate chip ice cream. But thanks to their unique and ambitious flavors, the store has now added another feather to its cap.

Food & Wine magazine recently published its list of best ice cream stores in every state, and The Bent Spoon took home the honors for New Jersey.

"The ace up their sleeve — flavors, lots of them, and very unique ones, the kind you don't find at your average soft-serve window (not that there's anything average about a good New Jersey soft-serve ice cream),” said the magazine.

Currently, the store offers walk-up service outside the front door and grab-and-go pints. Patrons can also order online for backdoor curbside pickup the next day.

Some of the unique and fun flavors they create are whiskey caramel, strawberry saffron, beet with chocolate chunks, brandy apple ginger snap, and the buzziest of them all, the cicada chocolate chip ice cream.
