Princeton Memorial Day Parade, Ceremony Set For May 26
All active and former members of the military are invited to march down Nassau Street on May 26.

PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton residents are invited to honor those who gave their lives to defend America during the town’s Memorial Day Parade this weekend.
The parade is set for Saturday, May 26, 10 a.m. It will be followed by a ceremony at 11 a.m. Events will take place, rain or shine.
All active and former members of the military are invited to march down Nassau Street, beginning at the corner with Princeton Avenue and down to Monument Hall. The ceremony will take place at Monument Hall, 1 Monument Drive.

West Point Academy and Princeton University graduate William Traubel will be the keynote speaker. Traubel is a retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. and historian whose focus is the American Revolution, according to towntopics.com.
Nassau Street will be closed from South Harrison Street to the intersection of Route 206 (near Monument Hall), Princeton police said. Traffic will be detoured using Wiggins Street to Hodge Road to Library Place; and also South Harrison Street to Prospect Avenue to Washington Road.

The parade and road closures will last until approximately 11 a.m. Intersecting streets will be opened to traffic as the parade passes. However, Nassau Street will remain closed until closer to 11 a.m. Drivers should avoid the area. Those travelling through town should expect delays.
