Princeton QB Passes Dallas Cowboys Coach On Passing Yards List

Chad Kanoff passed Jason Garrett in the Tigers' season-opening win over San Diego, according to ESPN.

PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton University quarterback Chad Kanoff is now third on the football program’s list of all-time passers.

Kanoff collected 352 yards passing in the Tigers’ season-opening 27-17 win over San Diego at home on Saturday, Sept. 16, according to ESPN. He now has 4,388 passing yards, moving past current Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett on the list of the program’s all-time passing yards.

He threw three touchdown passes, all to Stephen Carlson, who became the first Tiger to catch three touchdown passes in one game since 1991. Carlson had six catches for 94 yards.

Kanoff got the start in place of senior quarterback John Lovett, who will miss part of the season due to offseason surgery, according to Princeton Alumni Weekly.

Princeton returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 23, at Lafayette, 6 p.m.
