Princeton’s Cannabis Task Force To Hold Public Meeting June 23
The first public meeting will hear input from residents on the possibility of a cannabis dispensary in town.
PRINCETON, NJ — Earlier this year, Princeton formed the Cannabis Task Force with the aim to recommend whether the township should host a cannabis dispensary or not.

The task force will be holding its first meeting with the public on June 23 at 6 p.m. Chaired by Eve Niedergang, the task force includes councilmembers Michelle Pirone Lambros and Leticia Fraga, and members of the community.

Also on the agenda is a discussion on cannabis licensing and zoning. The task force aims to focus on equity and social justice issues around cannabis usage and dispensaries.

In last year’s election, Mercer County voted overwhelmingly in favor of legalizing recreational marijuana. According to official results, 71.25 percent of Mercer County residents voted in favor, and 28.75 percent opposed it.
