PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton Public Schools Board of Education will discuss the new name for Princeton Unified Middle School (PUMS) at Tuesday’s Board of Education meeting.

During the first week of May, the Princeton Public Schools administration recommended a non-person-specific name for PUMS. The recommendation came after several months of activities where the school district engaged students in researching possible names and even conducted an online community poll.

The potential names include Walnut Lane Middle School, Princeton Community Middle School, Princeton Public Middle School, Princeton Middle School, and Princeton Unified Middle School.
