Princeton Schools Working On Three Reopening Plans With Options
The plans will include options for the school district if things were to change over the summer.

PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton Public Schools say they're working on the district's re-entry plan for full reopening in September, one that will include options.
At the Board of Education meeting Wednesday, Interim Superintendent Barry Galasso said that three teams — each from the elementary, middle and high schools — are currently working on a re-entry plan.
The three reopening plans will also include options for the school district if things were to change in the summer owing to the pandemic.

“We’ll also have three options depending on the governor and depending on things that may occur during the summertime,” Galasso said.
The re-entry plan is based on feedback from students, staff, and parents.

“We are taking all the things that we learned. We’ve learned a lot of things from our students. We’ve had tremendous input from our parents, and we had great suggestions and ideas from faculty and staff,” Galasso said.
“We’re taking that one year’s of experience and putting together plans to share with the new superintendent before I leave.”
Carol Kelley was recently appointed as the new Superintendent of Princeton Public schools. She is expected to assume her role at Princeton on July 1.
The Superintendent thanked all parents who wrote to the district offering their suggestions for reopening plans and all the students who gave their inputs.
“I think in the long run it will make Princeton a better school system,” Galasso said.
“This year’s school experience will benefit the Princeton school system in the years to come.”
