Princeton University Football Team Unbeaten Ahead Of First Ivy League Game
Princeton defeated Lafayette to improve to 2-0 on Saturday.

PRINCETON, NJ — The Princeton University football team is 2-0 heading into its first conference game of the season.
Chad Kanoff threw for 256 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions, and delivered the ball to 10 different receivers in Princeton’s 38-17 win over Lafayette on Saturday, according to ESPN. Charlie Volker scored on a 19-yard run in the second quarter to break a 10-10 tie, and Princeton never looked back.
The win came a week after Kanoff passed current Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett on the list of the program’s all-time passing yards. Princeton has one non-conference game left, but that will have to wait until after Ivy League play begins. The Tigers host Columbia on Saturday, Sept. 30, 12:30 p.m.

Last month, Princeton and Harvard were named as co-favorites to win the conference championship by the media. Yale and Harvard are currently tied for first place with matching 1-0 conference records. Princeton and Columbia are two of four teams who have yet to play a conference game, while Brown and Cornell are both 0-1.
