Princeton University Students Robbed At Gunpoint

The campus was on lockdown for a few hours on Sunday morning, as police investigated the crime.

PRINCETON, NJ — Three Princeton University students were robbed at gunpoint on Sunday morning, a university spokesperson said.

The students, who were held up by two assailants, were uninjured and immediately reported the incident to the Department of Public Safety (DPS).

DPS responded to the scene along with officers from the Princeton Police Department.

The incident occurred in the area of 1939 Hall and the campus was on lockdown as police investigated the crime.

The lockdown was lifted around 7 a.m., “after an initial, extensive search for suspects,” the university spokesperson said.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is currently ongoing.
