He ran a 3k in 10:13 out of 187 participants.

Acasio Pinheiro, 12, of Princeton reclaimed his All American National Title in the 2013 AAU National Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 in Fort Gordon, Ga. He ran a 3k in 10:13 out of 187 participants.

On Sunday, Nov. 3, he once again reclaimed his NJ Championship title in New Jersey, coming in first for the second year in a row. He ran  a 3k in 10:54.  It was the first time that USATF had an athlete win back to back in the state of New Jersey.

Acasio has been running all season with Osgood slaughter, a sort of growing pain that is developed in the bone mainly in the knee area striking teens between the ages of 12 and 18. Acasio said he overcomes the pain for the passion he has for running.
