Rep. Watson Coleman To Host Virtual Townhall On COVID Vaccines
The townhall will address issues regarding the safety and availability of the COVID-19 vaccine in New Jersey.
PRINCETON, NJ — Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ 12) will be hosting a tele-townhall Thursday on concerns regarding the COVID-19 vaccine.
The townhall will feature state and local officials. Attendees will get a chance to raise concerns about the safety and availability of the vaccine.
“As we prepare to turn the next corner on the COVID-19 pandemic, it is of the utmost importance those who are able to get vaccinated be open to it, and sign up as soon as they are eligible,” Watson Coleman said in a statement.

“I want my constituents to know that COVID-19 vaccinations are safe, and they are critical to reopening New Jersey and getting back to normal life.”
The idea of a townhall is to provide a platform for open discussion about the misconceptions associated with the vaccine, in an effort to increase trust, especially among communities that have been hit hardest by the pandemic and are least likely seek out vaccination.

Watson Coleman received the first dose of the vaccine in September, which likely contributed to the minimal symptoms she experienced when she contracted COVID-19 in January, her office said.
