Simplified Yet Tasty Burger Joint Opens In Princeton
Diesel and Duke's simplified menu of burgers and fries allows for a keen focus on making it taste delicious.
PRINCETON, NJ — Who says you need a 10-page menu to offer good food? Diesel and Duke is proving quite the contrary with their simplified menu of burgers and fries.
Rutgers grad Kevin Rezvani and his partner David Cusumano opened the fifth location of their gourmet burger joint in Princeton in June. Other locations are in New Brunswick, Montclair, Caldwell and Jersey City.
Montclair native Rezvani was attending Rutgers University for Middle Eastern Studies when he got the idea to offer a late night gourmet burger joint to students. He opened his first location at the New Brunswick campus and it took off from there.

Rezvani is friends with the owners of Tacoria who told him about a business opening two doors down at 124 Nassau St. Rezvani jumped at the chance.
"It was definitely a good location we are always busy," Rezvani said.

Focusing on a few simple items, Diesel and Duke only serve burgers and fries with some chicken options and a fried Oreo treat. A vegetarian burger is also offered.
"We keep it simple," Rezvani said. "Our burgers are always made fresh and we hand cut our fries every day. Nothing is frozen."
Rezvani’s personal favorite is the Smokeshow burger which has bacon, aged cheddar, onion ring and BBQ sauce. It also happens to be the best selling burger at Diesel and Duke.
The fries also come in a variety of ways including Poutine which has cheese curds, gravy and scallions.
Online ordering is also offered. For more information or to see the menu visit eatdiesel.com or Facebook.
