Storm Causes Road Closures, Power Outages In Princeton Area
More than 45,000 New Jersey customers remain without power on Wednesday morning following severe thunderstorms.
PRINCETON, NJ - A severe storm ripped through New Jersey Tuesday night, causing power outages and road closures in a few Mercer County towns.
In Princeton, the following roads are closed due to down trees and power lines:
- Herrontown Road from River Road to Snowden Lane.
- Quaker Road (short) from Mercer Road to 206 (State Road).
- Ridgeview Road is currently impassible.
Power outages hit PSE&G and JCP&L customers. Around 105 JCP&L customers lost power, according to the company's outage map. PSE&G customers in Hopewell, Pennington, Princeton, and parts of Lawrence Township lost power, the utility company's online outage map showed.

Lawrence Township also reported low water pressure Tuesday night.
