Tommy’s Tavern And Tap Opens New Location In Princeton

PRINCETON, NJ – Popular New Jersey restaurant Tommy’s Tavern + Tap, officially opened their new location in Princeton on Monday at 4 p.m.

The new establishment, located at MarketFair, will be the brand’s fourth Tommy’s restaurant, with three additional New Jersey locations set to debut by early 2021.

“We are very excited to open our fourth Tommy’s Tavern + Tap location in Princeton, New Jersey. Princeton is an incredible area, that continues to expand rapidly, and there was no better time for us than now to be part of the scene,” said Tommy Bonfiglio, CEO.

The pandemic has posed many challenges to small businesses and restaurants. With NJ limiting indoor seating to 25 percent and imposing a curfew of 10 p.m., restaurants are struggling with their profit margins. However, Bonfiglio is glad to be pushing ahead.

“Our group, Triple T Hospitality, has navigated the waters of this pandemic as best we can as we push forward and open new locations. We want to continue to bring Tommy’s to local neighborhoods and give our guests another place to feel at home,” he said.

Andrea Bonfiglio, the events coordinator and culture sustainability director said it's been a struggle "to keep that hospitable energy going amidst all of the restrictions and guidelines."

"We are adjusting to the now, doing everything we can to keep our guests feeling welcomed and safe. We pivot in whatever direction needed to ensure success,” she said.

“At the end of the day, what continues to make this brand so successful is our ‘family first’ mindset," said Tommy Bonfiglio. "We are looking forward to welcoming our guests, old and new, to Princeton and continuing to expand into other markets.”

The restaurant is well known for its coal-fired pizzas, coal-fired wings, specialty sushi rolls, burgers, sandwiches, salads and appetizers, as well as a vast selection of 24 rotating craft beers on tap, signature craft cocktails and wines.

The Princeton location will feature identical menus as the group’s Sea Bright, Freehold and Staten Island locations, with additional specials that are unique to the Princeton.

Stephanie Maddox has been appointed General Manager and Joel Ellis will serve as Executive Chef.

Seats are on a first come, first served basis and no reservations will be taken.
