What's Open And Closed On Martin Luther King Day In Mercer County

Martin Luther King Day is set for Monday, Jan. 15.

Most Mercer County offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, although some offices and facilities will remain open, county officials said this week.

The following county offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15, and will reopen for business on Tuesday, Jan. 16:
  • McDade Administration Building, 640 South Broad St.;
  • Criminal Courthouse, 400 South Warren St.;
  • Office of the Mercer County Clerk, 240 West State St.;
  • Civil Courthouse and Office of the County Surrogate, 175 South Broad St.;
  • Mercer County Board of Social Services, 200 Wolverton St.;
  • One-Stop Career Center, 26 Yard Ave.; and
  • Mercer County Connection, Route 33 at Paxson Avenue, Hamilton.

The following county facilities will remain open: Trenton-Mercer Airport (except administrative offices), Correction Center, Sheriff’s Office and the Emergency Services Communications Center. Also open for business on Jan. 15 will be four branches of the Mercer County Library system: Ewing, Hickory Corner, Lawrence Headquarters and West Windsor, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; all other branches will be closed.

The following Mercer County Park Commission facilities will be open on Martin Luther King Jr. Day:
  • Ice Skating Center, 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m.;
  • Tennis Center, 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.;
  • Mercer Oaks East and Mountain View golf courses, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting;
  • Equestrian Center, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and
  • Wildlife Center, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Howell Living History Farm, Tulpehaking Nature Center and Park Commission administrative offices will be closed. Mercer Oaks West and Princeton Country Club golf courses are closed during January. For more information on Park Commission facilities, visit www.mercercountyparks.org.
