One person was reportedly killed in an early Thursday crash on Route 17 in Bergen County, police said.

RAMSEY – One person was reportedly killed in an early Thursday crash on Route 17 in Bergen County, police said.
The crash involved a silver sedan and happened around 6:30 a.m. near Lake Street, closing all southbound lanes, according to The Record. The crash happened in front of the Volkswagen dealership.
Ramsey police and the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office were investigating the crash, according to The Record.

Daily Voice said a Newark infant who was barely a few months old survived after being ejected in the crash in Ramsey, which killed her mother.
The 34-year-old woman and her husband had taken their three children with them to an overnight cleaning assignment, responders told Daily Voice.
