On-Call Service Brings Fight Against The Flu To Ramsey Homes
DispatchHealth's Traveling Flu Crew is available to visit Ramsey homes.
RAMSEY, NJ — A new service is bringing the fight against the flu to Ramsey homes.
The Traveling Flu Crew has launched in Ramsey. The service, provided by DispatchHealth, brings people who can diagnosis whether someone has the flu, administer intravenous fluids, and prescribe medication. DispatchHealth is an on-demand medical care provider.
"Our Traveling Flu Crew is capable of treating an array of flu symptoms for higher needs patients living with chronic disease or who are above the age of 65," said Mark Prather, CEO and co-founder of DispatchHealth. "We are also a convenient and affordable solution for patients with trouble accessing care who feel like the ER is their only option."

If someone suspects he or she has the flu, they can call 1-866-FLU-CREW, visit Dispatchhealth.com, or used DispatchHealth's mobile app to request at-home care.
Medical teams can also help with urinary tract infections, migraines, respiratory infections, sprains and joint pain.

A visit typically costs an average of $5 to $50, depending on a patient's insurance plan. If patients are uninsured, DispatchHealth accepts a flat fee of $275, which includes any medications administered and lab tests during the visit, as well as procedures performed.
