Christie's International Sells Mansion of FMR Red Bulls Star

He played consistently as an attacking midfielder, but also played forward on occasion. Cahill signed with the New York Red Bulls in July 2012 and made his Major League Soccer (MLS) debut the following month. In 2013, he set a new record, at the time, for the fastest goal in MLS history when he scored eight seconds into a 3–0 win against the Houston Dynamo. He left the team in 2015.
