Ramsey Has New Lightning Detection System

The system is at borough parks, farmers market, school fields, and Don Bosco High School.

RAMSEY, NJ — The borough has a new lighting detection system.

The system consists of horns and strobe lights at parks, the farmers market, school athletic fields, and Don Bosco High School.

The alarms and lights will notify people at these locations when there is lighting nearby. When it goes off, people should seek shelter immediately, said Mayor Dierdre Dillon.
