Ramsey School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Ramsey is September 6. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Ramsey Public School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

September

• 9/4: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/5: Orientation: All Staff
• 9/6: First Day of School for Students
• 9/21: No School (Rosh Hashanah)

October

• 10/30: No School for Students (Staff Development Day)

November

• 11/6 - 11/8: Minimum Days for PK-5 Students (Parent Conferences)
• 11/9 - 11/10: No School (NJEA Teacher Convention)
• 11/22: Minimum Day
• 11/23 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/25 - 1/1: No School (Winter Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Winter Recess)
• 1/2: Schools Reopen
• 1/29: No School for Students (Staff Development Day)

February

• 2/19: No School (President’s Day)
• 2/20: No School for Students (Staff Development Day)

March

• 3/30: No School (Good Friday)

April

• 4/2 - 4/6: No School (Spring Recess)
• 4/27: Grades 9-12 Minimum Day (Staff Development Day)

May

• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/21: Minimum Day for Students, 8th Grade Graduation
• 6/22: Last Day of School for Students, Minimum Day for Students, High School Graduation
• 6/25: Last Day for Teachers
