Report: Average Home-Sale Prices in Ramsey Drop in 2012

The average sale price of a home in Ramsey was 8.5% lower in 2012 than it was the year before, NJSpotlight.com reported in an interactive map.

According to the article, the average residential sales price of a Ramsey home in 2012 was $491,830, down over $40,000 from 2011’s average price - $537,338.

Last year’s average price is the lowest price reported in Ramsey over the last five year's, the report said. The highest average sale price from 2008-2012 was in 2009, when Ramsey home's averaged $596,777.

Ramsey's dip in average price last year is in line with a statewide trend. According to the report, the typical sales price dropped last year in about 75% of New Jersey towns.
