Unity Bank to Open 2nd Bergen County Branch in Ramsey

RAMSEY, N.J. (August 31, 2017) – Unity Bank will launch its second Bergen County branch with the planned November opening of its newest location at 475 Franklin Turnpike in Ramsey.

“Unity is committed to expanding its branch locations and lending services,” said Unity Bank President & CEO James A. Hughes. “Unlike national banks that are reducing branches, we expect a gradual, measured approach to increasing our network both in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.”

The Hunterdon County-based community bank opened its first Bergen County branch in Emerson in November 2016. Unity also plans to open a new branch in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in early 2018. The expansion will provide Unity with 19 locations in Bergen, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Somerset, Union and Warren counties in New Jersey and Lehigh and Northampton counties in Pennsylvania, including four new branches in the last two years.

The 1,400-square-foot Ramsey facility will be in a small shopping center near Don Bosco Preparatory High School. The full-service branch will offer Unity’s complete range of consumer and commercial deposit, lending and investment services, including remote deposit and mobile banking. The branch will have dedicated parking and drive-up window/ATM. Plans for the branch’s interior include a Unity café with beverages and Internet access for banking transactions and a comfortable lobby and seating area.
