Wawa On Route 17 Under Construction In Ramsey: Report
Nearby residents and gas station owners objected to the popular convenience store, according to the report.
RAMSEY, NJ — Construction has begun on a Wawa gas station and convenience store on Route 17 North, according to a report on NorthJersey.com.
Residents of the nearby Bear's Cove complex objected to the plan and hired a lawyer, claiming they were opposed to the noise and smells that would come from the business, according to the report.
The owners of nearby gas stations also objected to the project. They argued that the store and gas station on the same site required a variance that the zoning board could grant, according to the report.
