STATE INFORMATION

On Monday, March 29, 2021, Governor Murphy signed Executive Order No. 234 . The order will increase outdoor gathering limits from 50 people to 200 people and increase the capacity for large venues with a seating capacity of 2,500 or more to host events at 20% indoor capacity and 30% outdoor capacity. Additionally, the order clarifies indoor capacity limits for banquets and similar venues and the outdoor capacity limits for college and youth sporting events. The order will be in effect on Friday, April 2, 2021, at 6:00 a.m.

The general indoor gathering limit will remain at 25 people. Indoor gatherings that currently have a higher limit—religious services or ceremonies, political events, weddings, funerals, memorial services, or performances—will remain unchanged.
