9th Annual Wiffle for Cancer Game Set for June 2
Charity game raises money for Ewing Sarcoma research in memory of Ridgewood's Nick Currey.
Knuckleball pitchers and heavy hitters will be taking the field at Ridgewood High School June 2 for the ninth annual Wiffle for Cancer tournament.
All proceeds of the tournament benefit the Nick Currey Fund for Ewing Sarcoma Research, established in memory of the Ridgewood native. Currey, a 2004 RHS graduate, lost a 14-month battle to the rare form of cancer in November of 2005.
Online registration for a team is available at the charity's website. Wiffleball teams consist of 3-5 players. The registration fee is $50. Participants will receive a 2013 tournament shirt.
