Armand Leone, Jr., Recognized at New Jersey Law Journal Awards

ARMAND LEONE, JR., MD, ESQ. RECOGNIZED AS AN 'UNSUNG HERO' BY NEW JERSEY LAW JOURNAL'S 'THE NEW JERSEY LAW AWARDS'

Armand Leone, Jr., M.D., Esq., of Britcher Leone, LLC, of Glen Rock and Morristown, N.J., was recently honored by New Jersey Law Journal at its “2020 New Jersey Legal Awards” as an “Unsung Hero.” The virtual ceremony was held November 4, 2020, and honored lawyers “who have left an indelible mark on the legal community in New Jersey and beyond through their unwavering dedication to the profession.”

Leone, who is both a Board Certified Diagnostic Radiologist and an attorney, was recognized for his ability to represent his clients in medical malpractice matters, where he can bring his medical background to bear, as well as for his desire to mentor associates about the medicine involved in his cases and the nuances of the practice of medicine and law. Last year, for example, in what was one of his most personal overlaps of his two professions, he successfully litigated a case involving the failure of a primary care physician to recommend lung cancer screening to a long-term smoker , which could have caught his lung cancer with a low-dose CT scan early enough to have saved the man’s life.

Leone is admitted to practice medicine and law in both New Jersey and New York. He is also admitted to practice law before the U.S. District Court District of New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Leone is a Fellow of the College of Legal Medicine and a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine. New Jersey.
