Bergen County Vaccine Megasite Closing Early Due To Snow
State officials announced that affected appointments will be rescheduled.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — The Meadowlands Racetrack COVID-19 vaccine megasite is closed as of 10 a.m. Thursday ahead of winter weather.
State officials announced the decision to close early at the Bergen County site in addition to three other closures at state megasites in Burlington, Middlesex and Morris Counties.
"Those with impacted appointments in Bergen County are being contacted for rescheduling," officials wrote.

A winter storm could bring up to five inches of snow to the region by end of day Thursday, with some snowfall possible into Friday.
But New Jersey's weather isn't the only thing affecting vaccine sites across the county.

Vaccine shipments have been delayed across the country due to storms through the United States. Adjustments are being made at sites with additional inventory on hand, but some sites won't be able to continue operations until more doses are received.
Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco announced that the Annex Site at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus would be closed Thursday, citing shipping delays as the reason.
"As a result of severe winter storms in the South and Midwest, Bergen County has been notified by the New Jersey Department of Health of delayed weekly vaccine shipments," he wrote. Read more: New Bridge Vaccine Appointments Canceled Due To Shipping Delays
