Bergen County Welcomes New Dog Resort in Waldwick

North Jersey recently welcomed a brand new state-of-the-art dog resort that was designed with a dog’s comfort, care & safety in mind. Tanner’s Canine Resort in Waldwick, NJ offers boarding, daycare & training, and boasts over 6,000 square feet of outdoor play space, covered in K9 grass astroturf — more than any other dog facility in the area.

The vision for Tanner’s was to provide Bergen County dog owners with an alternative to the “indoor only” dog boarding & daycare facilities. “We wanted to provide a resort-like environment that had more outdoor space than indoor,” explains co-owner Suzanne Freedman. “Our dog suites are modern & gorgeous, however they’re just for sleeping. We want our dogs outside in the fresh air most of the day”.

In addition to boarding, daycare and training, Tanner’s Canine Resort also offers Puppy Kindergarten, where puppies get to interact with each other throughout the day and receive basic training skills. “Our puppy program runs all day, with drop off and pick up that is convenient for parents,” explains Manne. “Dogs go home trained and exhausted”.

The property for Tanner’s Canine Resort in Waldwick is ideal. Manne lives in the residential house on property, and there is a vet center immediately next door. “We really lucked out with this location” explains Freedman. “The Waldwick community has really welcomed us with open arms.”
