Post's love of adventure began when he was 2 and thought he could fly, so he climbed out of an upstairs bedroom window. By 16, before he could drive, he got his pilot's license. He was also an accomplished sailor, honing the skill at the Jersey Shore during the summers.
Post also enjoyed golf and was a member of the Ridgewood Country Club for the past 23 years.
