Downed Tree Causes Glen Rock Road Closure

GLEN ROCK, NJ — Belmont Road is closed due to a downed tree, Glen Rock police reported.

The road closure will cause a delay in school traffic as well, police said.

In nearby Fair Lawn, PSE&G reports more than 600 customers without power, with an estimated restoration time of 3:45 a.m. Thursday after a storm passed through the area Wednesday afternoon.

Severe thunderstorms were expected to arrive between the afternoon hours of 1 and 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Hail, 60-mph winds and power outages were possible.
