Girl Scouts Donate to 'Run for Hope Foundation'

Donations benefit Sandy victims.

Troop 144 of George Washington Middle School in Ridgewood donated a $400 giftcard to the Run for Hope Foundation to benefit Super Storm Sandy victims.

The charity, set up by Ridgewood resident and Fairview Police Chief Frank DelVechhio, has raised tens of thousands for families affected by 9/11 and also Hurricane Sandy. DelVecchio ran 26 miles from Ridgewood to the Ground Zero, raising $12,000 in the process. He recently ran 106 miles from Moonachie to Staten Island and then down the Jersey Shore to aid Sandy victims.
