Harristown Road Railroad-Crossing Repairs Begin In Glen Rock
Harristown Road will be closed and detours put in place.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — Harristown Road will be closed for a week beginning Thursday due to upgrades to the Harristown railroad crossing.
Harristown Road will be closed to vehicular traffic from Glen Rock to Stonefield Road.
There will be a police officer to help pedestrians safely walk in the work zone. The crossing guard who was previously posted at Harristown Road and Stonfield Road will be at Harristown to Glen Avenue.

Parents who want to drive their children to and from the high school, middle school, and Hamilton School will be able to access the area by following detours that will be put in place:
Two detours will be in place on Harristown Road.

Eastbound:
- Vehicles traveling eastbound on Harristown Road will be directed to turn left onto Maple Avenue
- Turn right onto Rock Road
- Turn right onto Ackerman Avenue
- Continue onto Harristown Road
Westbound:
- Vehicles wanting to travel westbound on Harristown Road will be directed to turn right onto Ackerman Avenue
- Turn left onto Rock Road
- Turn left onto Maple Avenue
- Continue onto Harristown Road
The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists should expect delays in the area, plan for extra driving time, and take an alternate route if possible.
